A Simple Desultory Phillipic

Mon Nov 14, 2005, 9:14 AM
My scanner does not work, so I am sad. I had a drawing to scan. I have large amounts of schoolwork this week as well, so I won't have time to do all the drawing I really want to do. I mean, REALLY want to do . . . Kind of makes me miss Ap Art, where I could do almost whatever I wanted and claim it had a purpose. (And it usually rather did. Or I was experimenting. Or whatever.)

Ugh. I want to put on The Young Ones, lie on my bed, and draw something "cool." Like, I don't know, slash. But instead, I will read "One Hundred Years of Solitude." (Ugh ugh ugh.) I am listening to The Beatles' "Let It Be," which generally means that I want to give up on following through with responsibility . . . But I will try not to.

so yeah... you should threaten to throw sherlock holmes out of the window if he doesnt start working soon!! maybe then he'll stop being a little bitch.

i want to draw too.. but you know, there's that big research paper for english i'm busy procrastinating on by.. oh, taking this nap that i'm about to go take.. yeah...

Hahaha. Yeah, well, if I throw him from the window, who's going to sit snarkily on my desk, pining for Dr. Watson and looking cynical and neurotic? I think I should tell him that you say he's a little bitch.

. . . He doesn't care. He says he still won't work and no irritable teenager with partially purple hair is going to make him. Because he wants Watson? The bastard.

I have to read pretty much all of "Lolita" tonight. And I have two meetings to go to, too. Bugger.

wow.. what an unbelievably bitchy scanner.

that is sucky.
:iconborn-to-be-wilde:
Well, Lord Alfred COULD be the cause of the scanner not working . . . Even though the printer is. Oh, what can I say? They're both total bastards and I forsake Victorian gay men forever! Except for Oscar Wilde, because he's still doing exactly what he's supposed to. Which is basically "don't come unplugged."

ah.. sometimes my scanner doesn't work either.. but i just have to fiddle about with stuff to make it work.. like turning it off and on.. unplugging it and replugging it.. sometimes opening it up in the "my computer" area works if the buttons on the scanner itself dont work.. yeah, remember that charles and sherlock are the same type of printer.. so yeah, they are a bit snarky. you just gotta fiddle with them to make them want to work for you.. haha!
:iconborn-to-be-wilde:
I think I've tried all that . . . Ooh, I think I'll try "My Computer" . . . I don't know if I did that. I suddenly truly admire Watson's infinite tolerance and patience with dealing with this horrible man.

Yeah . . . They were watching live-action Sailor Moon, so I drew Terry Boot.
