Pochinko and Anthony, two characters from "The Price of Blood," which I'd been writing about a year ago. Pochinko is the blond on the left and Anthony is on the right. Their relationship is, I suppose, sort of akin to that of Finny and Gene in "A Seperate Peace" and Sirius Black and Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter books . . . That is to say, it's never actually said whether or not they're "more than friends" but you can read it that way if you want. And, obviously, for this drawing, I did. The katakana in the lower right says "sakipo" and, although it's hard to tell because it scanned horribly, the writing beneath the kiss says, "You are the perfect drug." (From the NIN song, "The Perfect Drug." Because Pochinko literally IS. I suppose this would be a good spot to explain Bloodsaints, then, but I don't feel like it now. They're basically human drugs. That is, they're people whose blood can be used as drugs. There. That was the sort explanation.)
(Sakipo: noun: derived from "Saki/Po," which is the short hand notation for a slash pairing of Anthony and Pochinko. [Anthony's Bloodsaint cogno--that is, drug/nickname/title/thing---is Murasaki. Pochinko's is Pochinko. Pochinko calls Anthony "Saki" most of the time and Anthony sometimes refers to Pochinko as "Po."] Special thanks to Lucy for coining the term "Sakipo.")

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
